Inversion Therapy

Being inverted and using gravity to decompress the spine is something I have personally been doing for more than 15 years. I highly recommend it to my clients with lower back pain, sciatic issues, and even thoracic spinal pain. As an alternative to narcotic and surgical remedies for pain inversion can help in some cases.

Your body is being compressed by gravity from the moment you get up in the morning to the second you lay down at night. All of that gravity affects the body further due to posture, imbalances in muscle structures, injury, and a whole host of other factors. You don’t have to be on your feet all day for issues to arise, sitting is actually harder on the spine than standing. If you sit at a desk all day, if your job involves a lot of bending or lifting, this would be an awesome therapy to try! Being inverted allows the muscles around your spine to relax so your spine can realign and decompress. Making inversion a routine daily habit lets the body feel enabled and the discs of the spine to re-hydrate and eases pressure on the nerves radiating out of the spinal column bringing greater range of motion and less pain.

Hanging upside down isn’t as straight forward as it seems. There are several steps to getting to a complete 180 flip. This monthly program allows you to come into the office 3 times a week and I will help you start with an inverted angle that’s right for you. We will progress until you are comfortable enough to maintain your own routine and I will help you pick out an inversion table, inversion chair, or other inversion apparatus that’s right for you.

I have had several clients that have had, and continue to maintain, their amazing results using inversion therapy and I encourage you to give it a try!
